The founders of the restaurant Villa Marciana discovered the building of the old, no longer usable school in the village of Padina by accident. They walked into the yard, passed through the doorstep of the building, touched the history of the generations who studied here, listened to the birds songs which filled the garden and decided to give new life to the old school.
In 2007 started restoration and renovation of the building and the garden under the proficient direction of experienced architects, exterior and interior designers. During the same year the idea about the name was conceived. The restaurant is located within 7 kilometers of the ancient Roman town Marcianopolis (Devnya), which was founded by the emperor Trayan and named after his sister Diva Augusta Ulpia Marciana and it received the name Villa Marciana.
The construction and the architectural arrangement of the building were kept. A luster and nobility were added to the building. The 800 years old olive trees were planted. The building was spotlit and the team made a wish for success and longevity.
The official opening of the restaurant was in 2011. The first guests were welcomed. Since then the team of Villa Marciana learns, creates and trys to make happy the people who pass through the doorsteps.
